As most of you know already, Diana, Diana's mother, my mother, and I went to the doctor on Thursday. Without even being able to brace ourselves, the nurse stuck the yucky gel on Diana's big belly and started showing us magic. At first all I could see was a lot of snow but then it happened. There was our baby! Moving around, sticking its hands above its head. Heart beating steadily and not stopping in any position. This wonder, our future child, was a little different than the "peanut" that we saw in our very first ultrasound. The nurse said she had a pretty good idea what he/she was but I had no idea. The majority of people, I even asked my 70 students, thought it would be a girl. Thinking that I had 3 sisters, 3 nieces, and hardly any men on my side, I just knew it would be a girl as well. I could not image myself having a son. Men just didn't run in our family. I was just a miracle. Brishen as well. And then it happened, the baby's legs spread apart and let the world know that he was not just a boy but a miracle as well!
Now I don't remember too much of the ultrasound because I was so nervous that I could faint but we were lucky to get some great pictures. The picture below is my definite favorite. It is a great profile view of my (I'm sorry, I mean our) baby boy.

Another one of my favorites, he is sticking his foot out for us to see and you can see his little tiny toes!

And here is the shot that proves it all. There is no question about it. In 21 weeks, there will be another man in the family!
