A Little Snack...

One of Diana's favorite things during pregnancy is all of her extra snacks between meals. The doctor said to have "little" snacks to make sure the baby has a constant flow of nutrients. Here is Diana's idea of a "little" snack. I usually wouldn't be able to finish a big salad like that for a regular meal. Diana doesn't have any trouble finishing it.
Update: The trip to the doctor last Monday went very well. Diana has gained 6 pounds so far and her blood work came back fine. She is healthy as a horse (a pregnant one). We got to hear the heartbeat (very cool!) and we go back to the doctor August 21st. Mark your calendars because we find out the baby's gender then!

Notice how I don't say "babies genders." Everyone we see has never seen anyone with a belly as big as Diana's at this stage. This is either one big baby or a couple good hiders.

Doctor...

Diana and I go today to meet the midwife that will deliver QUESO. Hopefully everything will turn out great and we see that the baby is healthy and on track. I am excited because I get to hear the baby's heartbeat for the 1st time!

In other news, I read yesterday that in a couple of weeks, Diana will start to feel the baby moving. Don't tell Diana though, she will freak out!

Miscellaneous Video...

Here is a random video taken with Diana and her mom when Diana is 13 weeks pregnant. You can see that she has already taken to the pregnancy pants. You can't tell too well in the video but her belly is getting a lot bigger! I wish you could all see it in person like I do every day! Today we noticed that her belly button was getting bigger.

We go to the doctor on Monday to see the results of all of Diana's bloodwork and we get to hear the heartbeat! This will be the first time I get to hear the baby's heartbeat. Hopefully we will find out that everything is normal (other than Diana) and on track. I am going to try to talk the nurse into an ultrasound; I don't think I can wait until week 20.

3 months...

I know that it is late but here is Diana's picture at 3 months. She is now into her 2nd trimester and getting bigger every week. It has really gotten noticeably bigger in the last two weeks. She got to hear the baby's heartbeat on Monday and said it was the coolest thing she has ever heard. I wish I was there. I will get to hear to heatbeat in about a week.
Funny story about her big belly...Whenever someone asks about her belly, she says it is so big because of the "cheese." We have started to call the baby "cheese." I think that "cheese" is gender neutral, no?
